Bomas of Kenya is a
government owned cultural centre with the overall mandate to preserve,
maintain, educate and promote the rich and diverse cultural values of
Kenya’s ethnic communities.
Bomas is calling upon talented and skilled artistes (dancers and drummers) and instructors for auditions.
Artistes (Dancers and Drummers)
The ideal candidates should have:
- KCSE certificate with mean grade D
- KCPE certificate will be considered for those candidates with exceptional skills and talent
- Talent and experience in stage performance skill in playing the Luo horn (Tung); Kisii eight string lyre (Obokano) and Isukuti drums ensemble
- Creative, self motivated and team player
- Computer literacy
- Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (CID)
- Valid medical/ occupational health certificate from authorized institute of health institution.
Dance / Music Instructor
The ideal candidates should have:
- Certificate in performing arts discipline or its equivalent.
- KCSE with at least C and above. Bachelor’s in performing arts discipline or its equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Talent and experience in stage performance.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid medical/ occupational health certificate from authorized institute of health.
- Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
- Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capacity in work performance and results.
