Credit Officer

Reporting to the
DCEO.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Approve all loans, refunds, withdrawals etc.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate all activities within the Credit Department
  • Check and submit delinquency reports (monthly) to SASRA and Credit Committee.
  • Prepare monthly loans projections for the department
  • File defaulters with the CRB
  • Prepare, submit and defend reports on non-running loans, withdrawals, data recovery etc.
  • Loan policy implementation
  • Prepare departmental budget
  • Processing of death claims and filing of CIC returns
  • Feeding of all data for recovery, stoppages and variations
  • Ensure all communications to members about loans, refunds and withdrawals are forwarded to Customer Care correctly and timely
  • Reconciliation of loans granted with by-products
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of commerce (Accounting or Finance option)
  • CPA (K)
  • Certified, Credit Professional part II is an added advantage
  • Computer literate
  • Aged between 28 – 35 years old
  • Valid certificate of good conduct from the Government of Kenya
  • Self motivated individual with impeccable integrity
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills

Roles and Responsibilities  
  • Managing the sales and marketing of the society products and services
  • Engaging the trade to create demand for the society products and services
  • Providing information for decision making through properly prepared and timely reports.
  • Formulate and implement marketing plans including relevant customer acquisition and develop programmes.
  • Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation and protect society brands
  • Carryout regular market research, competitor and customer surveys.
  • Follow-up on sales enquiries by post, telephone and personal/visits
  • Monitor and report on marketing activities and provide relevant management information.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Relevant diploma in marketing or related field with at least three (3) years experience in the field of marketing.
  • Self driven, reliable, tolerant, result oriented, with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality business development and a team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, work under pressure and maintain organized work habits.
  • Must be adept in use of computer software particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word and also use internet and email facilities.
Qualifications
  • Be aged between 25 and 35 years old
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct from the Government of Kenya
  • Will be employed on commission with a negotiable retainer.

The position favours applicants with solid ICT/ web design background. 
The incumbent will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web site design and development, including creation of custom graphics. 
The position is responsible for designing the user interface and overall customer experience for our websites and applications. 
This includes overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements.

Tasks:
  • Plans site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality.
  • Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
  • Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.
  • Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links.

Skills and experience:
  • University degree in a computer-related field

Technical expertise:
  • Design and implementation of ICT infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of the Office automation market products (hard- and software)
  • Management of large PC-server configurations
  • Advanced and up-to-date knowledge of office automation tools and environments (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Web based applications, etc.
  • 2 -3 years of experience in web-based graphic design or web interface design.
  • B.A. or B.S. or Diploma in graphic design, art or related field or equivalent academic and work experience.
  • Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Illustration Tools, Multimedia Content Development, Understanding Browser Capabilities, Internet Presence
